Getting ready to go

Getting ready to go

Monday afternoon, Teddington – and creating this blog is one of the many things that should have been done many weeks ago so that I would wow you all, my audience of friends and family interested in (amused, concerned, stupefied by?) the forthcoming journey of Lizzie and Jim, with my astounding technical expertise!  However, truth is that I did none of that preparation, except in a cerebral way – the planning stage as it were – and now we’re off tomorrow and I am attempting to be a blogger but groping my way around in the blogging dark! Bear with me as I explore this strange new medium. I hope to bring you some tales from the trail, pictures of places and people (if I can work out how) and introduce you to some of the characters we will meet.

The rucksacks are almost packed – every item has earned its place. Eurostar to Brussels then an unplanned route to Istanbul………… I’ll keep you posted.

Well, I’m impressed just with the first one – and you haven’t even left Tedd yet! By Istanbul you’ll be getting job offers from the BBC!
